The most-known fashion weeks around the world are Paris Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, and Milan Fashion Week. They happen twice a year bringing in the fall/winter trends and the summer/spring trends. Fashion designers, Makeup artists, and brands from all over the world come to display their take on the upcoming season through runway fashion. Makeup plays a vital role on the runway as it is the backbone of the show, the makeup has the complete look keeping in mind the theme and idea of the collection. Our Makeup school takes care of the latest fashion trends and has designed the makeup course in a way so you become a master in fashion makeup artistry.

Here are a few makeup trends from this year's fashion week that our makeup academy covers in our Makeup courses:

Modern Smokey Eye:
So many different styles of smoky eyes were seen this year on the runway. Pat Mcgrath’s looks were intense, bold, and fearless, they went for a powerful black smokey eye. Whereas, Giorgio Armani created a subtle smokey eye with a cut crease as well.

Bleached brows:
This is a statement look that changes the look of the face completely. The trend has been brought back from the 90s. Another out-of-the-box look that was done by Pat Mcgrath for Versace was the bleached brows with nude eye makeup and nude lips at the Milan Fashion Week AW 2022.

Winged eyeliner:
There are no limits when it comes to winged eyeliner and that was seen in this year's Fashion Week. CHANEL went for bold black winged liner and nude lipstick for the runway. Many other Makeup artists went for bright neon colors as well as there were some who did the classic winged liner.

Bright and fluorescent eye:
Everyone loves a pop of color, especially in the beauty world, the best way to learn and grow is to play with colors. This year, Valentino went for a very monochromatic theme and created some fantastic looks with bright pink makeup and pink outfits. And Versace did some makeup looks with neon eyeliners to add a pop of color on the runway.

The red lip:
Pretty and boss, that's how you feel while wearing a red shade of lipstick, you feel confident in it and that anything is possible. Pat Mcgrath once again went for the red lip for the models who walked the runway wearing the new MIU MIU collection and this time the sports company Sportmax had a few of their models rocking the classic red lip on the runway giving it a very sporty vibe.

The blushed look:
This year the main focus for some of the looks where the blush where makeup artists would apply a good amount of blush making the blush the highlight of the look, keeping either the eyes subtle or the lips subtle. Carolina Herrera and Anna Sui did looks that included a lot of blush, dual shade eyes, and soft lip color.

Bedazzled and stones:
After the hit show “euphoria” many makeup artists found inspiration and did the gems/jewels look for fashion week with some bold eye makeup and either pearls or gems to complete the look. Gucci Beauty’s global makeup artist Thomas de Kluyver created a cat-eye look using gems and stones creating an illusion of the cat eye.

Conclusion:
Staying up to date with the latest beauty trends is very important for a Makeup artist, fashion trends start on the runway and the same goes for beauty trends. The makeup artists at fashion shows do their best to show their work and complete the look. Fashion and makeup would be incomplete without each other, especially on the runway.
