Today we are going to focus on one particular aspect of hairstyling which is a ponytail. A ponytail might look very easy to achieve but to achieve a clean, sleek ponytail you need to learn the right techniques and you should also use the right tools.

Choosing The Right Types of Ponytails:
The ponytail is an ideal hairstyle for women with at least shoulder-length hair. But did you know there are plenty of different options to wear a ponytail? From braids to twists and everything in between, if you’ve only been wearing your hair in one among dozens of ponytail variations, you’re missing out!

1. Braided Ponytail:
Dress up a low ponytail with two braid sections on either side of the head. When you combine them in the ponytail, you can wrap it up with the twisted pieces instead of a boring elastic.

2. High Ponytail:
Ariana Grande would be proud of this high ponytail. A sleek high ponytail without bumps would look very good for photoshoots and even fashion shows. Securing it in an elastic, and getting that clean shiny look is something which can be done by a trained professional only.

3. Low Ponytail:
This slightly frizzy low ponytail features straight as well as crimped hair. Comb and smooth all your hair back and secure the ponytail at the nape of your neck. Encourage texture by brushing out waves and using a good hold hairspray.

4. Side Ponytail:
For a fun, perky hairstyle, you can pull your hair up into a cute side ponytail. You can add a bit of wave first by wearing braids overnight and unravelling before creating the ponytail, or just use a regular curling iron or tog to add some texture.
5. Loose Ponytail:
A loose ponytail is most often seen on women who are at the gym, out running errands, or on the beach. The key is to not pull the hair tight or smooth anything down. Leave it slightly messy with loose tendrils around the face.

6. Mohawk Ponytail:
Another style that works best with thick hair is a mohawk style ponytail. Create it by forming three ponytails at the back of the head. Then split them in half to connect all three. A pop of bright pink strands or any colour strands would add a fun twist to the mohawk.

7. Bubble Ponytail:
Create a fun hairstyle that shows off your long hair at the same time with a bubble ponytail. Tie your hair in a medium ponytail just below the crown of the head, then section off the hair in four places with hair ties. With neutral hair ties, it’s a sophisticated style; add colourful ones for a more relaxed, casual vibe.

8. Cornrow Ponytail:
Long cornrows like these take at least six hours. But once you have them, you can pull them up into this beautiful elegant ponytail. Make sure to leave a cornrow braid on each side by the ear for delicate detailing. Keep your braids looking shiny with colourful metallic strands and various accessories.

9. Half Ponytail:
This half updo is another hairstyle that doesn't take much of your time to form. Take a small section of the top half of the hair and form a high ponytail. Curl the rest of the hair and brush out to create soft waves and a natural look.

10. Two Ponytails:
While any length of hair is ideal for this fun style, it does look better with longer hair. Brush out your locks, teasing hair with spray for volume, and create the ponytails close enough to your shoulders that the hair can fall forward.

11.  Rope Ponytail:
While this twisted ponytail is great for both thin and thick hair, it will help thin hair look thicker. Just form a ponytail and split the hair in two sections. Wind one section around the other down to the end, secure it with a hair tie. You can smooth flyaway with a light spritz of hairspray.
