6 Chicest Winter Makeup Trends
Staying up to date can sometimes be a little difficult at times that where I come to save you the trouble so today we are going to talk about the current trends this winter you can do tho this time instead of talking about full looks we are going to talk about different elements so you can mix and match to your preference. But before we go ahead, when I say winter what are the things that come into your mind. Snow, the color red , candy canes, Santa, Christmas, and more. For me all these things are what makes me feel comfy and warm in the sense that when I think about these things I immediately feel comforted and happy. So on this note the different elements of makeup that we will talk about today will make you look cozy and comfy but at the same time super chic. So here are 6 chicest makeup trends for the winter and looks that teach in our professional makeup course.
1. Eyes
For the eye there are so many things you can do especially during the winter from graphic liner to a nice smokey eye. it’s very confusing that’s there so we are going to talk about 3 eye looks you can do depending on your mood. First you can also go for the trusted neutral brown eye look with a nice eyeliner or a smudged liner, the best part of this look is that it literally pairs with every outfit and any lip color as well. The second look is a nice cut crease which is bold and beautiful this can be done maybe for a Christmas party or an office party as well this is for those searching for a party look, this would look amazing with subtle lip and if you want to do fancy you can never go along with a red lip the Christmas classic. The third trend this year it’s the frosty eye is just a splash of shimmer or glitter all over the eye, the glitter or shimmer doesn’t have to be any particular colors in it can be either be a silver shimmer, a gold shimmer, or a champagne shimmer that’s totally up to you. In makeup artistry it’s very important to plan the eye makeup in a way so the makeup looks planned.
2. Skin Base
Before we talk about makeup, skincare is super important during winter. During this season our skin tends to get a little dry and itchy, so moisturizer is your best friend. Keeping your skin hydrated is really helpful while doing your base in makeup giving you that flawless base. There two trends currently for base one is your ideally flawless base that literally goes with everything and it is also completely Matt. And the other trend is the glow from within completely opposite to the first trend. This is where you can mix a nice illuminator into your foundation or the other way you can apply highlighter all over your face this is called a frosty base. These are few of the tricks we teach our students at our makeup academy.
3. Lips
You can literally wear anything on your lips, all you need is confidence and any color will look good on you. But this winter there are a few lip trends that you definitely need to try. The first one is the brown ombre lips, this trend is bringing back the 2000 is where you apply a brown or a dark lip liner on the outline of your lip and apply a nice or a skin color in the center of your lips, this is a Matt lip trend. Another trend this winter is the glossy lip that gives that snowy frosty look also known as the frosty lip. At our makeup school our students learn the different tricks on the application of gloss.
4. Blush
Blush also plays and important role in your makeup especially during the winter. Since the weather is cold our skin becomes more sensitive and hence looks a little red and pink. So we definitely want that element in our makeup as well. So this winter term is my personal fav you can call it the Browns blush or the bronze blush, instead of going the same red or pink blush you can switch things up and apply brown colors as blush this gives you a sculpted look as well as adds a nice thing to your cheek. And the other trend is the frosty blush where you apply a bright pink blush from one cheek to another cheek along with the house so it gives the effect that you have got a cold house. This trend is extremely cute and makes you look super adorable. This trend is also called the cold girl makeup. Color theory plays an important role when it comes to doing these kinds of blush looks and that is what we highlight in our makeup class.
5. All Pink
After the recent fashion week the color pink has been high in demand, earlier pink was a summer beach color but this fashion week many makeup artists have different ideas on having a pink winter. And when I say pink I’m talking about the bright Barbie pink not a single color but the bold and beautiful pink. So this winter many makeup looks are very monochromatic, the easiest look in these trends would be tov apply the same color as an eyeshadow doing a nice eye look, and applying the same link as a blush and the same color in the lips. This looks so chic and fashionable even in the winter. Doing a monochromatic look is one of the looks we show at our makeup school.
6. Eyeliner
So there are no trends in particular but i have a few ideas that will help you this winter season to up your eye look. On would be a graphic liner you don’t need to be an artist to draw a small snowflake in the order corner of your eye with white, you can do a nice thing liner using a white eye liner and instead of doing a regular wing you add a snowflake another way to do this look is you can draw a simple black liner and then with white do a nice snowflake in the order corner this way you are playing with color as well as keeping the winter in your eyes. Doing the foxy eyeliner will give you a very sexy’look which is perfect for the winter cause not everyone only wants to be on the nice list. Jokes apart, this type of liner just completes your look in a way where it is simple and bold at the same time. Playing with eyeliner is super fun and there are so many things we teach our makeup artist in our professional makeup course.
